I was saddened today to hear of Cordie's passing.
My mind went back to 1983 when I was assigned to Cordie's territory. Cordie had just finished up with the ordeal in Mt Pleasant when I was assigned to his territory. It was my first reassignment with Deere and with everything Cordie had going on in his life he always took time out to check on myself and Linda to see how we were doing and if there was anything he could do for us.
Cordie always put others first. He was a fine gentleman and left a positive impression on those who were fortunate enough to work with him.

Lynn Ellen Routon and Eddie Routon

Wichita Falls, TX

Cordie was surrounded by friends and a wonderful family. Eddie Routon and I have many memories of Cordie. He was funny, helpful and a joy to be around. I spent much time at Mary Ann house growing up and Cordie was the one who would drive us up and down main when we could not drive and make us laugh and always had a great time. He had a positive attitude and he always made us laugh. He filled life with meaning and I know that he will forever play a part in the smiles and treasured moments that are tucked in many hearts.

Marcia, Mary Ann, and family. I know a lot of people will miss Cordie. He was such a kind and witty guy. I have so many memories of him: Sunday School, MYF, Fort Belknap school trips, senior trip, and dancing at the youth center. Of course football games. i am so glad he came to so many reunions. God bless you all.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Thomas Family during your time of loss and sorrow. I met and worked with Cordie at John Deere back in the 1970's. Cordie was a fun guy with a lot of stories that made our travels memorable. He will be missed. Rest in Peace Cordie.

The world will miss Cordie. We met in the 1970's at John Deere. I enjoyed each time we had meetings and had opportunities to fellowship. He had the best sense of humor. Cordie was "one of the good ones", a true gentleman, and a very trustworthy friend. My thoughts and prayers are with all. God Bless You and God Bless Cordie.

Cordie = you will be missed by so many people because of your wit and laughter. I know I will. God bless you Marcie at this time of sorrow - but he is in no pain - just God's hands now

It was with many pleasant memories that I read about Cordie and his well lived life. His family and friends have much to be proud of and I know he will be missed and his memories cherished. We crossed paths playing baseball in The Olney Little League. Our team, the Giants, won the City Championship when we were both 11. I came with others from nearby Megargel to be drafted on the team. We accomplish a lot on the field, but one of my best memories was at a July 4th celebration and Cordie was our team's choice to enter the watermelon eating contest. I wanted so much to be the choice as I knew stuffing down food quickly was a skill set of mine. Cordie did not win but if there had been a category for neatest eater he would have won hands down. He wiped his mouth with a napkin after each bite. Cordie was a neat person all his life and has left the world a better place. Travis McWhorter

Dear Marcia, MaryAnn, Bill, & Family,
My family and the Thomas family grew up in the same neighborhood. On two-a-days, I remember Cordie, Gerald Nunley, Norman , & Ronnye lying on the floor in front of our swamp cooler resting between practices. I probably (did) pester them. Anyway, I always loved Cordie. He was a wonderful person. May God wrap you in his arms and bless you. Let ve you all.
