I just got home from a long trip out of town, and this is my first chance to get online. It was fitting that the day after Jacks death I arrived to visit an OADH friend in Illinois. We will all miss Jacks warmth and welcome so very much ... it is hard to imagine Olney and the Hunt without him. It is a challenge to all of us in the one armed community to pass on Jacks legacy. I send my heartfelt condolences to all of the family, and hope to hug some of you in person in September.

My favorite story about Mr. Bishop. About 6 years ago, we were in town and stopped at a high school baseball game. I hadnt seen Mr. Bishop in at least 25 years at the time. I shook his hand, and you would have thought I had just talked to him the day before. Then he gave my daughter some money and told her to run up to the concession stand and get us some Dr. Peppers. Later on, my daughter asked me why that man did that. I told her that Mr. Bishop has been doing that to me since I was your age. That is just what he and a lot of other men in Olney do. They are involved in childrens lives and they treat all kids like they are their own. Peace to the Bishop, and to the Olney family.
