Cris Sullivan, age 65, died Friday, August 30, 2019 at her home in Olney. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 1, 2019, at the Hamilton Street Church of Christ, with Scotte Clark, officiating.

Cris was born on December 1, 1953 in Seymour, Texas to the late Jack and Sybil (Campbell) Peek. She married Sam Sullivan on December 8, 1973 in Seymour. She was a long-time resident of Olney and a member of the Hamilton Street Church of Christ. Cris had worked at Olney Savings (later Amwest Savings), Delong and was a guard for ten years at Lindsey State Jail. She really enjoyed her work as a correctional officer and was dedicated to being the best she could be. She wanted to bring positivity to the men she took care of. Cris loved horses and was an accomplished barrel racer in her youth. She also loved to sing and entertain others with her voice.

Cris was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Bryce Mathew Oates.

Cris is survived by her husband, Sam Sullivan of Olney; daughter, Keri Brown and husband Steven of Olney; son, Kevin Sullivan and wife Lauren of Olney; grandchildren, Braydon and Kaleb Oates and Foster and Harris Sullivan all of Olney; sister, Jackie Pickens and husband Jakie of Greenville; mother-in-law, Betty Sullivan of Olney; brother-in-law, Bill Sullivan of Fort Worth; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Becky and Frankie Bailey of Olney; nephew, Todd Pickens and wife Becca and children of Wylie; nieces, Charla Cole and husband David and children of Wylie, Amanda Barrientes and husband Raul and children of Olney, Melinda Horn and husband David and children of Newcastle, and Beth Blanchard and husband William and children of Fort Worth.
