Albert quotJackquot Bishop age 89, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend went to be with the Lord on June 10, 2011. Funeral services will be on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Leo Short officiating assisted by Jerry Bishop and Lonnie Tate. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery in Olney, Texas. Arrangements are under the ion of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

quotJackquot was born Albert Daniel Bishop on February 26, 1922 to the late Gilbert Ray and Flora Lee Morgan Bishop in Padgett, Texas. He and Imogene Helton were married on August 26, 1940 in Walters, Oklahoma. They were lifetime residents of Young county where Jack served as a County Commissioner for twentyfour years. He was an avid sports fan and was an active member of the Olney Lions club for fortyseven years, a Charter member of the Olney Booster Club for over fifty years, and was a coach for the Olney Little League. He became a member of the Olney Volunteer Fire Department serving for twenty five years, and was a member of the Farm Bureau. He cofounded the One Arm Dove Hunt with his friend, Jack Northrup in 1972. Jack was awarded quotCitizen of the Yearquot by the Olney Chamber of Commerce in 2000. He was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife, Imogene in 2004 his parents a brother Harvey Bishop and sisters Jane Tate, Frances Tate, and Fay Wages. He was known to his loving family as quotBoppa Jackquot and survivors include his son Jackie Bishop and wife Kay of Olney, Texas his daughter Gaye McWhorter and husband Joe of Archer City, Texas a brother Kenneth Bishop of Olney, Texas two sisters Dorothy Short of Arlington, Texas and Jeannie Parker of Graham, Texas six grandchildren Shanan Coates and husband Bud, of Archer City, Texas, Brooke Reneau and husband Beau of Archer City, Texas, Brandi Taylor of Archer City, Texas, Jeff Bishop and wife Kristy of Wichita Falls, Texas, Brenn Hobbs and husband Chris of Little Elm, Texas, Bevin Parker and husband Jeremy of Wichita Falls, Texas seven great grandchildren Cody Coates, Caitlin Taylor, Maggie Coates, Brody Reneau, Jackson Bishop, Bella Hobbs, and Sophie Parker special friend Glenda Whiteley of Olney, Texas. His grandsons will serve as pallbearers: Jeff Bishop, Chris Hobbs, Jeremy Parker, Bud Coates, Beau Reneau, and Cody Coates.
