It is with a heavy heart that I personally mourn the loss of such a wonderful man, Words are inadequate to capture the soul of Luren Campbell. For many years at TxDOT Luren was a daily part of my life and filled it with wisdom, compassion and joy. His contribution to those who were privileged to know him is measureless. Every person needs a Luren Campbell in their lives at some point. My memories of him will never fade and I pray for Beatt and the family to treasure their memories as well.

Mr. Campbell was one of a kind. A true Texas gentleman. He was always a very kind and compassionate man. I'll miss seeing him around. My prayers go out to all of you. Amy, I know this will be difficult for you and I pray that you find comfort in him not laying in the hospital bed but knowing that he is finding his place in Heaven. Ms Campbell my prayers are with you as well and I pray that you find comfort in your daughters. Obele, I pray that you too will find comfort in him not suffering any longer. God Bless

I admired Lauren . He was always around and about out at his farm. I know he loved his cattle. He will greatly be missed by all who knew him. I know I will.

What a wonderful man.
They just don't make them like Luren anymore.
His passing leaves a void in this world that can't be filled.
