Anita Brom Hons, age 86, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Seven Oaks Nursing Home in Olney, Texas. Funeral services will be on Monday, April 15, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Olney, Texas with Rev. Msgr. Raymund Mullan officiating. Burial will be at Megargel Catholic Cemetery in Megargel, Texas.

Anita was born on July 16, 1926 to the late Ben J. and Louise Sykora Brom in Westover, Texas. She and A.W. "Bennie" Hons were married in Megargel, Texas on June 30, 1947. They were married for sixty-five years. Anita attended college in Denton, Texas. She had worked for Haggar Manufaturing in Olney, Texas and was an accomplished seamstress. She also helped her husband run a dry goods store. She was a member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Olney. She was preceded in death by her husband, A.W. "Bennie" Hons, in December, 2012.

Anita is survived by her son, Mark Hons and his wife Tamara of Olney; three grandchildren: Matthew Hons and wife Annie of Crowley, Texas: Keenan Hons of Granbury, Texas, and Kelsey Hons of Olney, Texas; also one great-grandchild, Eva Graham Hons.

Visitation will be from 5 - 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, 2013 in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home.
