Ann Lundy, age 79, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024, at Hamilton Hospital in Olney, Texas. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Lunn Funeral Home in Olney. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2024, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Dr. Chad Edgington, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating.  Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery in Olney. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Ann was born on July 24, 1944, in Texarkana, Texas to the late Gerald and Emily Maurine (Smollen) Stephens.  She married Tommie Neil Lundy on June 22, 1968, in Texarkana, Texas. He preceded her in death on November 25, 2021. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Paige Lundy Scott on June 7, 2021.

Ann graduated from high school in Texarkana, Texas and later earned her Masters Degree in Education from East Texas State University. She taught school in Trinidad, Texas, Texarkana, Texas and in Kansas. Ann moved to Olney in 2009 from Oxford, Kansas and became involved in her church and community. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Olney Hamilton Hospital Auxiliary and an active member of the Amity Club. She loved to sew and make quilts as well as working on arts and crafts and traveling to arts and crafts shows. She also enjoyed doing yard work and planting flowers.

Ann is survived by her son-in-law, Steve Scott of Olney, Texas; her granddaughter, Emma Scott and fiancé Tanner Wade of Odessa, Texas; two brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law: Allen and Cynthia Lundy of Barry, Texas, Jack and Sara Lundy of Normangee, Texas, Ruth "Cookie" Lang of Montalba, Texas and Emily Lundy of Athens, Texas; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
