Annie Lorene Wyatt, age 98, died Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Grace Care Center of Olney, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney, Texas with Scotte Clark, minister of the Hamilton St. Church of Christ, officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. at the Murray Cemetery in Carbon, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.
Lorene was born December 7, 1914 in Flatwood, Texas in Eastland County, to the late James F. and Irby Irene (Harris) Hays. She married Lonzo D. "Dick" Wyatt on September 1, 1934 in Gorman, Texas. He preceded her in death in 1974. For twenty-three years she was a seamstress working for Munsingwear, Inc. in Eastland, Texas. After her retirement she spent seven years as a volunteer for the Retired Senior Citizens Programs. Lorene moved to Olney, Texas in 1986 from Abilene, Texas. She was a member of the Sorosis Club of Olney, and the Hamilton St. Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one son: James W. Wyatt; two sisters: Martha Maedell Bennett, and Mildred Powell; and one brother: Marvin Franklin Hays.
Lorene is survived by one daughter: Wanda McDaniel of Olney, Texas; four grandchildren: Glenna Cagle and husband Donald of Olney, Mondie Bullock and husband Dale of Crawford, Texas, Vickie Wyatt of Abilene, Texas, and Darren Wyatt and wife Carol of San Antonio, Texas; ten great-grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.
Family will receive visitors before services on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home.
