Aubrey St. John, age 91, died on December 19, 2011 at Seven Oaks Nursing Home in Olney. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2011, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Scotte Clark officiating assisted by Harvey McQueen. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery in Olney under the ion of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.
Aubrey was born on June 23, 1920 in Olney, Texas to the late Mack Henry and Alice Kirkpatrick St. John. He graduated from Olney High School. Aubrey married Juanema Wilborn on December 16, 1939 in Olney, Texas. He was a dedicated farmer, rancher, and a lifetime resident of Olney. Aubrey served in the U.S. Merchant Marines during WWII. He owned and operated the Montgomery Ward agency for nine years. He was on the surveying crew for R.E.A. and served on the Zoning committee for the City of Olney, a Director on the Chamber of Commerce of Olney, and was on the board for Young County as an ASC officer. Aubrey was a member of the Hamilton St. Church of Christ and served as a Deacon and Elder.
He is survived by his wife, Juanema St. John of Olney, Texas son John St. John and wife Tena of Dripping Springs, Texas daughter Debra St. John of Denton, Texas four grandchildren: Kure Croker of Brooklyn, New York, Trent Croker of Kellar, Texas,
Alice Beatson and husband Chris of Cary, North Carolina, Dan St. John and wife Wendy
of Acworth, Georgia and four greatgrandchildren.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 27, 2011 from 57 pm at the funeral home.
