Avelino "BV" Herebia, age 76, passed away Monday, October 2, 2023, at Grace Care Center in Olney. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2023, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney with Josh Hagle, pastor of Southside Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Avelino was born July 12, 1947, in Alice, Texas to the late Jose Herebia and Guadalupe (Guerra) Herebia. He was a sandblaster in the fabricating industry until his retirement. He loved to play the guitar and was a very accomplished guitarist. He also loved to play dominoes and liked to color with his niece. Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Avelino was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Linda Fuentes.

Avelino is survived by four brothers: Joe Herebia of Corpus Christi, Ricky Herebia of Olney, Mike Herebia of Olney, Robert Herebia of Midland; two sisters: Sylvia Gonzales of Midland, Eloisa Torres of Olney; and numerous nieces and nephews.
