Bette Sue Pulliam, age 83, passed away on Friday, November 17, 2023 in Olney, Texas. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 19, 2023 in the chapel of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney, Texas, with Scotte Clark, minister of Hamilton Street Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery in Olney, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Bette was born on Saturday, January 20, 1940 in Olney, Texas to Royce Clinton and Estelle Reeves Holder. She was an Olney High School graduate and married Eddie Carl Pulliam on October 7, 1959 in Waurika, Oklahoma. Bette was a bookkeeper at First National Bank in Olney for many years. She also taught special education at Olney Elementary School for several years. She was a very compassionate and caring lady. She loved to work in her garden. She was known by all who knew her to be very witty in nature. She was famous for her homemade hot sauce and many people called and asked her to make them some of it.

Bette was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Guy C. Holder.

Survivors include; her husband, Eddie C. Pulliam of Olney; two sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and Marilyn Pulliam and Clint and Sheila Pulliam of Olney; four grandchildren, Kali Swenson and her husband Blake of Iowa Park, Texas, Ethan and his wife Samantha Pulliam of Olney, Texas, Cooper and his wife Catie Pulliam of Fort Worth, Texas, and Casey and his wife Brianna Pulliam of Olney, Texas. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
