Bettie Jolene Scrogum, age 75, died January 26, 2015 in Olney, Texas. Private graveside services will be at a later date in the Elbert Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Bettie was born on May 19, 1939 in Jacksboro, Texas to the late Joe Langford Easley and Irene Grace (King) Easley. She married Alton Edward Scrogum, Sr. on September 17, 1968 in Kilgore, Texas. He preceded her in death on June 3, 1997. Bettie was a retired waitress. She moved to Olney in 2010 from Odessa, Texas and was a member of the Church of God. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Elizabeth Jolene Current, three brothers and one sister.

Survivors include two sons: Jimmy Kee of Olney and Dennis Kee and wife Kim of Healdton, Oklahoma; one brother, Guy Harmon Easley and wife Janice of Topock, Arizona; one sister, Kassie Calhoun of Farmington, New Mexico; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
