Betty Sue Langford-Self passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Mount St. Francis Nursing Home in Colorado Springs, Colorado, at the age of 89. A celebration of life will be held June 21, 2024 from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm at Lunn Funeral Home.

Betty was born on February 23, 1935, in Graham, Texas to Albert Floyd and Ruby Adelle (Collins) Owen. She graduated from Olney High School in 1953. She married Billy Dale Langford on June 18, 1953, in Olney, Texas. He preceded her in death on May 26, 2004. She married Bobby L. Self on November 19, 2015. He preceded her in death on October 11, 2019. Betty worked for Dr. J.P. Lovett until his death. She then worked for Dr. David S. Moore for many years and was very well known for her talent of giving shots and drawing blood. She later went to work for Olney Hamilton Hospital as a phlebotomist until her retirement. She served on the Olney Hamilton Board of Directors in 1990-1991. Betty and Bill enjoyed going to square dances for many years and they both enjoyed playing golf at Olney Recreation Association. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and a long-time member of Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Betty was an avid collector of 'Betty Boop' memorabilia. She moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 2019.

Betty was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Robert Earle (Bob) Owen; two sisters, Joanne Wright and Barbara Hobbs; one daughter-in-law, Cynthia Ann Langford; and one great grandson.

She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in Law; Jeff and Paula Langford of Fountain, Colorado and Mark Langford of Port Vue, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
