Betty June Routon, age 81, passed away Wednesday, November 1, 2017 in Olney, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 4, 2017, at Restland Cemetery in Olney, with Terry Mitchell and Kent Goree, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home.

Betty was born on June 7, 1936 in Winona, Texas to the late Calvin E. Ratcliff and Lois (Kinser) Ratcliff. She moved to Olney in 1970 from Newcastle. She married Sam B. "Buddy" Routon on July 16, 1972 in Vernon, Texas. Betty was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion and a member of First Baptist Church in Olney. She had previously owned two Café's in Newcastle and was a retired ceramic dealer and beautician. Betty was preceded in death by her mother, Lois Clayton; step-father, Ed "Booty" Clayton; her husband, Sam B. "Buddy" Routon; daughter, Brenda Daniels; and step-daughter, Sherry Smith.

Betty is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law: LaShawna and Steven Whitsitt of Olney, LaTenna and Jimmie Jones of Olney and Debbie and Jerry Wilson of Duncan, Oklahoma; two sons: Ernie Daniels and Harold Daniels both of Olney; two brothers: Calvin Ratcliff and Alvin Ratcliff both of Graham; two honorary daughters: Debbie Ridinger of Archer City and Stacy Speers of Olney; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 3, 2017 at Lunn Funeral Home in Olney.
