Betty McRoy Wood, age 60, died Friday, September 20, 2013, at Garden Terrace Healthcare Center in Graham, Texas. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Betty was born on December 2, 1952 in Glasgow, Montana to the late George Thomas and Neveline (Campbell) McRoy. She earned her Associates Degree and was a Licensed Vocational Nurse. She moved to Olney, Texas in 1995 from Salt Lake City, Utah. She married Charles Elmer Wood on May 15, 1981 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Charles preceded her in death on December 19, 2011. Betty was also preceded in death by her sister, Jean Hansen.

Survivors include her son, Cody Ashley and wife Kari of Claremore, Oklahoma; daughter, Brook Ashley and husband Terry Ward of Olney, Texas; sister, Juanita Cliet of Madisonville, Texas; and four grandchildren, A.J. Steele and Robert Ward both of Olney, Texas, Camryn Ashley and Briar Ashley both of Claremore, Oklahoma.
