Bettye Starr, age 88, passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2012, in Glendale, Arizona. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 6, 2012 at the Proffitt Cemetery, with Jan Najera officiating. Burial will follow in Proffitt. Arrangements are under the ion of Lunn Funeral Home.

Bettye Lou was born on April 28, 1923 in Olney, Texas to the late John and Jennie Iona Connor Starr. She was a retired secretary. Bettye was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include son, Johnny Ray Suits of Grand Praire, Texas daughter, Jan Najera of Avondale, Arizona granddaughter, Michelle Harris and great granddaughter Brittany Harris both of Forney, Texas grandsons: Michael Nail of McKinney, Texas and Mark Britt of Electra.
