Bill Evans, USAF, Retired, age 76, died Tuesday, August 26, 2014 in Lewisville, Texas. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 29, 2014, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Scotte Clark, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Bill was born on December 10, 1937 in Wichita Falls, Texas to the late E. H. and Bessie Loree (Strealy) Evans. He was a graduate of the University of Wyoming with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force in avionics for twenty years, retiring at the rank of Major. Bill married Carol Lee Creson in Dallas, Texas in 1962. He later married Sue Hamilton on April 18, 1998 in Graham, Texas. He moved to Olney in 1996 from Denton. He especially enjoyed meeting his friends at Cub Drug each afternoon for coffee and to catch up on all the news, since he was no longer able to play golf.

Bill is survived by his wife, Sue Evans of Olney, Texas; children, Will Evans and wife Stephanie of Odessa, Texas, Denise Sizelove and husband Mike of Argyle, Texas, Julie Jacob of Graham, Texas; four grandchildren: Jake Sizelove of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Sam Sizelove of Manhattan, Kansas, Strealy Sizelove of Argyle, Texas, Wyatt Evans of Gardendale, Texas; sister, Gennett Smith and husband Farest of Angleton, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews; and, two sisters-in-law: Lynda Rue and husband Ray of Georgetown, Texas and Pat Boston of Kansas.

Family visitation will be on Friday, August 29, 2014 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. prior to the memorial service.
