Brenda Boydston

Brenda Boydston, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at Olney Healthcare and Rehabilitation. Family visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at Lunn Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at Restland Cemetery at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 27, 2026, with Reverend David Carpenter officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Brenda was born to Clarence and Mildred (Mercer) Stowe on June 3, 1940, in Olney, Texas. She was a lifetime resident of Olney and graduated from Olney High School in 1958. Brenda married her husband, Donald Boydston, on July 28, 1969, in Olney, Texas, and spent fifty-one years together before he preceded her in death in December 2020. She was a bookkeeper and secretary for Olney Savings, Brazos Telephone, and Boydston Enterprises for several years. Brenda was the treasurer and record keeper for Jean Cemetery for many years. She also served on the Board of Directors at Fort Belknap Electric Co-op.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald Boydston, and her two brothers: Dink Stowe and Glenn Stowe.

Brenda is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Eugene Boydston and wife Tina of Olney, Texas, her two daughters and sons-in-law: Deborah Haralson and husband Kevin of Saint Jo, Texas, and Suzie Thompson and husband Todd of Lubbock, Texas, her sister Louise Andrews of Archer City, Texas, her seven grandchildren: Amanda, Andy Annalise, Derek, Zach, Christen, and Christal, her eleven great-grandchildren, and her two great-great grandchildren, and her two sisters-in-law, Patsy Stowe and Helen Stowe.
