Bruce Sallee, age 55, died Sunday, April 10, 2011 at United Regional Healthcare Center of Wichita Falls, Texas.


Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2011 in the chapel of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney with Jody Forbus, pastor of the Carbon Baptist Church in Carbon, Texas officiating.


Bruce was born July 15, 1955 in Harrodsburg, Kentucky to Winsford and Nina Harlow Sallee. He was a jackofalltrades on the farm and around his home. He could build or fix anything. Bruce loved to travel, play at casinos, and being with his family especially his grandchildren. He was a life long resident of Olney and appreciated the friends he had there. He is preceded in death by his father in 1998, and a brother, Joe Sallee in 1962.


Survivors include his mother, Nina Sallee of Olney four brothers, Tony Sallee and wife Letha of Jean, Texas, Bill Sallee and Butch Sallee both of Lafayette, Tennessee, Terry Sallee and wife Vicki of Carbon, Texas two sisters, Connie Dougherty and husband Johnny of Jean, Texas, and Kim Bond and husband Bo of Olney, Texas five daughters, Pam Smith and husband Brian of League City, Texas, Becky Sallee and husband Josh Brooks of Graham, Texas, Rachel Sallee and husband Mike of Jean, Texas, Veronica Bowman and husband Brian of Olney, Texas, and Nikki Coop and husband J.P. of Granbury, Texas his companion Gloria Henderson of Olney, Texas and seven grandchildren, Courtney Sallee, Shea Sallee, Allee Bowman, Catie Bowman, Codey Henderson, Ryan Bergin, and Reagan Smith.
