Byrl Allison, age 83, died Tuesday, December 6, 2011 at Seven Oaks Nursing Home in Olney, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 10, 2011 in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Scotte Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Restland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the ion of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Byrl was born March 29, 1928 in Corsicana, Texas, to the late Thomas Terrell and Ozella Gertrude Morgan McEntire. She and Joe Allison were married on September 26, 1945 in Olney, Texas. They moved from Orth, Texas to Olney in 1950. Byrl was employed at Hamilton Hospital for twenty years as a LVN. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and attended the First United Methodist Church in Newcastle. Byrl will be remembered being the happiest when all of her family was together. She was preceded in death by her husband in March 1999, and a daughter, Jolyne Hope.

She is survived by her son Rhea Allison and wife Jackie of Richardson, Texas daughter Martha Jean Moody and husband Johnny of Newcastle, Texas seven grandchildren: Todd Eddleman, Allison Carriger, David Burgess, Jr., Robbie Cartwright, Jody King, Justin Allison, and Joseph Allison and eight great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Friday, December 9, 2011 from 5:00 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
