Byron Gage Firestone, age 19, died Monday, July 25, 2011 at United Regional Healthcare Center in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2011, at First Baptist Church of Olney with Andy Graham of Southside Baptist officiating. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery. Arrangements are under the ion of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.
Gage was born November 8, 1991 in Olney, Texas. Gage graduated from Olney High School. He was an active member of the Southside Youth Group and the Children39s Church. Gage never met a stranger and was known as the Olney quotambassadorquot. He conducted business in his quotofficequot at the fourway stop sign of Ave M and Elm Street, stopping and visiting anyone who came by.
Survivors include his mother, Holly and her husband Shawn Scrogum of Olney, Texas his sister Ravyn Firestone of Olney his grandmother, Zola Mae Owens of Olney, Texas grandparents Charles and Helen Firestone of Dalhart, Texas two uncles Raymond Owens and wife Teri, Ryan Rafferty and wife Maggie of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma step brother Tyler Scrogum of Archer City, Texas step sister Lacey Green and daughter Averie of Russellville, Arkansas and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, O.C. quotBuddyquot Owens and an uncle, Richard Owens.

The family will be at the funeral home Wednesday evening, July 27th from 6:00 8:00 for a visitation.
