Carl Eugene "Tooter" Rowlett, 45, went to be with the Lord on December 8, 2015. Memorial services will be at 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Megargel Christian Fellowship Church in Megargel, TX, with Dan Hooper, minister, officiating.
Tooter's life started on December 19, 1969 as a pre-mature baby in Wichita Falls. He spent the first month of his life in the hospital and on January 19, 1970 was adopted into this Rowlett family with three sisters ready and waiting to make him their own. Carl and Bonnie Rowlett could not have received a better gift than this son. His younger years were spent riding horses, competing in horse play-days and rodeo parades, playing baseball, and participating in Jujitsu competitions. As class president and the Megargel High School 1988 Salutatorian, he was active in basketball, golf, tennis, and track. He was president of the FFA, and received many awards as he participated in agriculture teams, including chapter conducting, land judging, dairy judging, radio team, senior farm skill team, and livestock shows. Tooter was active in UIL speaking events, reaching the regional competition three of his four years of high school. He received All-Star cast in One-Act play. He graduated Texas Tech with a BS in Biology/Chemistry and will forever be a Red Raider. Tooter is preceded in death by his parents Carl and Bonnie Rowlett, sisters, LaDonna Gleghorn and Sharon Rainwater, and grandparents, Luke and Altha Barker.
He is survived by daughter, Paisley Grace Burrell; sister, Mona Rowlett Gibbs and husband Chuck; nieces and nephews, Courtney, Brandi, Toni, Matthew, Glenn, and Joey. Tooter is also survived by a multitude of cousins, aunts, uncles and friends who loved him dearly.
