~Carol Ann Burris, age 77, died Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Hamilton Hospital in Olney. Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 16, 2014, at the Olney Senior Cub Center with Scotte Clark of Olney officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Carol was born on November 19, 1936 in Kosciusco County, Indiana to the late Harvey and Laura (Stump) DeFrees, Sr. She and Norman Burris were married on November 23, 1955 in Nappanee, Indiana. He preceded her in death on June 23, 1991. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Church of Christ. Carol loved children, was a devoted friend, a generous soul, an avid Bingo player, and very involved at the Senior Cub Center, especially trips to go shopping with the staff. She will be remembered for her dry humor, frankness, and determined spirit.

She is survived by her brother, Harvey DeFrees, Jr. and his wife, Anita, of Syracuse, Indiana. She will lovingly be remembered by her many friends.
