Carolyn Rose, age 81, died Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at Seven Oaks Nursing Home in Olney, Texas. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. on August 31, 2013 at the Megargel Cemetery in Megargel, Texas with Scotte Clark, of Olney, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Carolyn was born on April 18, 1932 in Alba, Texas to the late Daniel Crawford and Annie Odella (Thompson) Anders. She moved to Olney, Texas in 1953 from Lubbock, Texas and was a faithful homemaker. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Megargel, Texas. She and Thomas "Ed" Rose were married in Post, Texas on February 28, 1947. He preceded her in death on October 8, 2000.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include her sons: Tim Rose and wife Shirley of Arlington, Texas, and Steve Rose and wife Sandra of Ft. Worth, Texas; daughters: Mollie Rose and husband Meredith Taylor of Grand Prarie, Texas, Joyce Kulhanek and husband Victor of Megargel, Texas, Kathy Arnold and husband David of Austin, Texas, and Carol Harding and husband Brian of Grapevine, Texas; twelve grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
