Charles Boyd, age 62, died Tuesday, August 11, 2015 near his home in Loving, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 17, 2015 at First Baptist Church in Olney with Chad Edgington, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the Restland Cemetery under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Charles was born October 14, 1952 in Olney, Texas to the late Edwin P. and Linouise (Lutz) Boyd. He was a graduate of Olney High School class of 1971. Charles was committed to the safety and welfare of the City of Olney and was a former Chief of Police of the Olney Police Department.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Survivors include his two sons: Billy Boyd and David Boyd both of Olney and his daughter, Elizabeth Boyd of Taos, New Mexico.

Family visitation will be Sunday, August 16, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Lunn Funeral Home in Olney.
