Charley Polk, age 72, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2024, at his residence in Olney, Texas. Service time and date will be determined at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Charley was born on August 22, 1951, in Rotan, Texas to, the late M.C. and Genevar (Rushing) Polk. Charley proudly served in the United States Air Force. He married Sandra Joyce Patterson in Albany, Texas on, February 13, 2023. Charley loved to go fishing and spending time with his family. He enjoyed traveling down dirt roads while having his favorite refreshing beverage.

Charley was preceded in death by his parents, M.C. and Genevar (Rushing) Polk; three sons, James Polk, Brian Schmidt, and Ryan Schmidt; and one brother, Robert Polk.

Survivors include His wife, Sandra Joyce Polk, of Olney, Texas; two daughters and one son-in-law and daughter-in-law; Sondra and Elijah Godstime of Bedford, Texas and Lana and Teresa Schmidt of Newcastle, Texas; his nephew; Danny Patterson of Breckenridge, Texas; one grandson, five granddaughters, and one great-granddaughter.
