Christene Hearne, age 76, died Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Olney Healthcare Center in Olney, Texas. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 2015, at Loving Cemetery in Loving, Texas with Billy Rhone, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Christene was born on December 15, 1938 in Houston, Texas to the late Frank and Flossie (Wood) Tompkins. She retired from Hamilton Hospital after eleven years as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. She married Claud Hearne on October 6, 1976 in Burkburnett, Texas. They moved to Olney in 2001 from Loving, Texas. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Olney and was very active in her church. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sons: Tillman "T.I." Jolly, Jerry Hearne, Neal Hearne; three brothers: Billy Lunsford, Bennie Lunsford, Paul Lunsford.

Christene is survived by her husband, Claud Hearne of Olney, Texas; sons, Eddie Jolly and Jimmy Jolly both of Jonesville, Louisiana; daughter, June Smith of Jonesville, Louisiana; sisters: Peggy West of Loving, Texas and Sue Fowler of Big Spring, Texas; seventeen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
