Chuck Horn, age 63, passed away August 9, 2014 in Abilene, Texas. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 13, 2014, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Frankie Bailey, officiating. Burial will follow at Newcastle Cemetery in Newcastle, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.
Chuck was born on May 28, 1951 in Ballinger, Texas to the late William John "W.J." and Linnie Viola (Simpson) Horn. He married Ginger Casteel on January 20, 1972 in Newcastle, Texas. He served his country proudly in the United States Army and served two tours of duty during the Vietnam War. He moved to Brownwood in 2002 from Olney. Chuck had worked in the oilfield and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Ginger Horn of Brownwood, Texas; two sons: Allen Horn and wife Tara of Abilene, Texas and David Horn and wife Melinda of Graham, Texas; four grandchildren: Bonnie Horn and Emma Horn of Abilene, Texas and Hayden Horn and Max Horn of Graham, Texas; two brothers: Jackie Horn and wife Shirley of Houston, Texas and Bill Horn, Jr. and wife Patsy of Graham, Texas, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, August 12, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Lunn Funeral Home in Olney.
