Claude Andrew Gibbs, age 66, passed away Friday, August 12, 2016, at his home in Olney, Texas. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 15, 2016 in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney, Texas with Jessie Edwards, pastor of First Baptist Church of Newcastle, officiating. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery in Olney. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Claude was born on July 7, 1950 in Wichita Falls, Texas to the late Raymond and Martha Nell (Hardin) Gibbs. He moved to Olney in 1962 from Wichita Falls, Texas. He worked in the family business at Gibb's Locker Plant for many years, and continued farming after the locker plant was closed.

Claude is survived by his two brothers: Chuck Gibbs and wife Mona of Olney and Bruce Gibbs and wife Jeane of Olney; one niece, Courtney Gibbs of Stephenville; one nephew, Chance Gibbs of Lewisville.


Family visitation will be on Sunday, August 14, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Lunn Funeral home.
