Cora Anderson, age 80, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2025, surrounded by family in Oak Point, Texas. Family visitation will be held Friday, from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Lunn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2025, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Rev. Claude Hendricks, officiating.  Burial will follow at Lynn Creek Cemetery in Jack County.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Cora was born on April 3, 1944, in Yantis, Texas to the late Roy Washington and Iva Lorene (Price) Burt. She married Ed Anderson on July 4, 1975 in Olney, and spent nearly fifty years together before Ed preceded her in death in June of 2021. Cora was an avid member of the Assembly of God Church in Olney for many years. She was a dedicated cashier at Stewart's Food Store for seven years. She enjoyed sewing, crafting and baking delicious goodies. Cora also loved to make Christmas candies.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ed Anderson, two sisters: Dorcas Roach and Lora Mae Wright, and two brothers: Troy Leon Burt and James Leroy Burt.

Cora is survived by one sister Minnie Turner of Denton, Texas, one brother and sister-in-law, Carl "L.C." and Ann Burt of Oak Point, Texas, one step-son, Randy Anderson of Olympia, Washington, one granddaughter, Savannah Anderson of Olympia, Washington, and several nieces and nephews.
