Dalton Howard Thompson, age 81, died Tuesday, November 20, 2012. Graveside services will be at Newcastle Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 23, 2012, with Steve King of Newcastle, Texas, officiating. Arrangements are under the ion of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Dalton was born on September 20, 1931 in Newcastle, Texas to the late Arlie Chester and Bessie Faye Loftis Thompson. He was a lifetime resident of Newcastle, Texas and had worked in the oilfields until his retirement. Dalton served his country in the Army during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by two sisters: Nelda Hobbs Jeter, and Virginia Lewis also his stepson, Terry Wenniger.

Survivors include his two brothers: Jimmy Thompson and Kenneth Wayne Thompson his stepchildren: Larry Wenniger, Ricky Wenniger, Darrell Wenniger, and Violet Wenniger eleven Grandchildren and eighteen Great Grandchildren.
