David Lackey, age 61, died Saturday, November 27, 2021, in Wichita Falls. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 3, 2021, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney with Emory McCall and Pete Arroyo, officiating.  Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. immediately prior to the service. Burial will follow at Restland Cemetery in Olney. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

David was born on April 6, 1960, in Olney, Texas to Junior N. Lackey and Neta F. (Stapp) Lackey. He graduated from Olney High School in 1978. He moved to Wichita Falls in 1993 and was a member of Wichita Falls Church of Christ. He married Darlene Bachman on June 12, 1993, and they made their home in Wichita Falls. David was a fabricator and was very meticulous in everything he did. He took great pride in his work. David was an outdoorsman, a great family man, and was an excellent father. He made you feel welcome no matter your situation. He was preceded in death by his mother.

David is survived by his father, Junior N. Lackey of Georgetown, Texas; his wife, Darlene Lackey of Wichita Falls, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Emory and Marileigh McCall of Whitesboro, Texas; two daughters and one son-in-law, Amanda and Pete Arroyo of Universal City, Texas and Charlotte McCall of Blair, Oklahoma; one sister and brother-in-law, Renee and Bert Witcher of Georgetown, Texas; one nephew, Zane Witcher; eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
