David L. Schafianski, age 75, died Monday, December 19, 2016 in Ft. Worth, Texas. Memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 23, 2016, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Rev. Claude Hendricks, officiating, assisted by Daniel Frost, pastor of Olney Assembly of God. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

David was born on May 21, 1941 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana to the late Carl and Elda (Meitz) Schafianski. He was a resident of Jean since 1994, having moved here from Cameron, Texas. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1963 to 1970 during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a factory worker. He married Sue Sherrill on May 2, 1981 in Ft. Worth, Texas. David was a member of the Olney Assembly of God. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, John Schafianski and Jim Schafianski.

David is survived by his wife, Sue Schafianski of Jean, Texas; three step-children: Marvin Brooks of Mansfield, Texas, Larry Brooks of Aledo, Texas and Dianna Levesque of Fairhope, Alabama; two brothers: Walter Schafianski of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and Oscar Schafianski of Hudsonville, Michigan; four sisters: Sandra Richmond of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Anita Currier of North Carolina, Mary Jo Walter of Flowermound, Texas, and Wanda Sutter of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, as well as thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
