David Alan Whitsitt

David Alan Whitsitt, age 66, passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at United Regional in Wichita Falls, Texas. Memorial services will be held on May 29, 2026, at 10:00 am in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Reverend Harrell Braddock, Jr. officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

David was born on October 23, 1959, in Laredo, Texas, to Elwyn Dewayne and Phyllis (Campbell) Whitsitt. He moved to Olney from Abilene in 1990. He graduated from high school in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. David was a member of a wrestling team that competed in Ramstein, Germany. He enjoyed cruising around on motorcycles, and when he wasn’t doing that, he was watching movies or listening to music.

He was preceded in death by his father, Elwyn Dewayne Whitsitt, his paternal grandparents, John and Mildred Whitsitt, and his maternal grandparents, George and Mattie Campbell.

David is survived by his mother, Phylis Whitsitt of Olney, Texas, his two brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Kathryn Whitsitt of Olney, Texas, and Steven and Sandra Whitsitt of Olney, Texas, and several nieces and nephews.
