Deborah “Debbie” Louise Taylor Dickens went to be with the Lord on March 25, 2026. A celebration for life for Debbie will be on April 12th at 1 pm at Fireman’s Park at the pavilion. Please come help us celebrate Debbie. All are welcome to come.
Debbie was born on January 28, 1957, in Fort Worth, Texas, to the late Lee Clayton Taylor and Evelyn Stringham Young.
She was raised in Megargel, Texas, where she attended and graduated from Megargel High School. Debbie had a deep love for life, but nothing meant more to her than her children and her family. She was a devoted Christian who loved the Lord Jesus Christ and carried her faith with her throughout her life.
Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Lee Clayton Taylor; her mother, Evelyn Stringham Young of Olney; her grandparents, Darrell and Louise Taylor of Megargel; her paternal grandmother, Mildred Taylor of River Oaks, Texas; her maternal grandfather, Leon Stringham; her brother, Donny Leon Taylor of Olney; her nephews, Jeffery Morriss Taylor of Olney and Christopher Lee Taylor of Baytown; and her niece, Heather Don Taylor of Olney.
She is survived by her loving husband, Carl Dickens of Olney, Texas; her daughters, Shanna Owens of Oklahoma and Shalisa Whitlock of Olney, Texas; and her sons, BJ Jones of Graham, Texas, and Will Jones of Olney, Texas.
She is also survived by her siblings: David Taylor and wife Dina of Wichita Falls, Texas; Darla Dobbs of Olney, Texas; Jimmie Pollard and wife Christy of Olney, Texas; Theresa Day and husband Johnny of Olney, Texas; Rhonda Cook of Olney, Texas; Bobby Ragland and wife Kymmi of Graham, Texas; and Ginger Parks of Dumas, Texas; her lifetime friend, Teresa Gail Colgen of Olney, Texas; and her grandson, Brandon Taylor of Michigan.
Debbie leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews who will forever cherish her memory.
Debbie will be remembered for her love, strength, faith, and for the way she held her family close to her heart. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
