Obituary

Mrs. Dianna Mae Klaiber Wardrip went to be with her Heavenly Father on May 7, 2016 after a short battle with lung and brain cancer. Dianna was born on October 8, 1932 and raised in Spencer, Indiana to John & Hazel Klaiber; who proceeded in her death. She married the love her life, George E. Wardrip on July 19, 1957 at the George Street Church of Christ in Marion, Indiana. He preceded her in death after 50 years of wedded bliss on July 23, 2007. Dianna fulfilled many roles in her life, the most precious to her was: Mom, Nana, Grandma, Mamaw, and G-Ma, but her favorite was being Mrs. George E. Wardrip. Together they raised 9 children, she is survived by: Vicky Brinker, Valerie Steiner (Tom), Teresa O'Malley (Tom), Georgianna Winder (Doug), Faryion Wardrip (Sandra), Rory Wardrip, Alice Milhollon (David), Cathy Hardin (Jay), and Bryce Wardrip (Tina). She had 22 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, and 4 great, great grandchildren.

In the early 1970's she was employed by Indiana Bell as a switch board operator, and in the late 1970's she was a leasing agent in Marion, Indiana. In 1980 she moved to Texas with her husband, where she continued her career as a leasing agent in Wichita Falls, TX. In 1990 she retired, moving to Olney, TX to live near her daughters. In 2000, George and Dianna moved to Fort Worth to be near family, and their doctors as they aged.

Dianna was a member of the Childress Church of Christ, also attending the Northwest Church of Christ in Fort Worth. She enjoyed being active in bible study groups at church, as well as spending time traveling to visit family and friends. Often times you would see Dianna out walking her dog Chloe Bear. Dianna was a big advocate of health and fitness, and never considered her age as a barrier.

Dianna is also preceded in death by her two brothers, Jerry and Robert Klaiber.

Dianna will be missed by many, but we rejoice in knowing that she is with her Lord and Savior & walking hand and hand with her husband, George.
