Dixie L. Corley
Olney ~ Dixie Corley, age 79 , died Wednesday, October 15, 2014 . Graveside services will be at Restland Cemetery in Olney on Saturday, October 18, at 10:00 a.m.
Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.
Dixie was born on June 1, 1935 to the late Thomas Carl "Red" and Blanche Ophelia (Andrews) Weiss. She married R.D. Corley on July 14, 1951 in Cross Plains, Texas. He preceded her in death September 21, 1992. The family moved to Olney in 1974 from Cross Plains. She worked for many years in the school cafeteria at the Olney Independent School District, and as a Dietician at Olney Healthcare. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son Lloyd Corley, and one daughter Emma Howell, and several siblings.
Dixie is survived by three sons: Danny Corley of Oklahoma, Calvin Corley of Waxahacie, Texas, and Carl Corley of Olney, Texas; one sister, JoAnn Brown, two brothers, Wilburn Weiss and Doug Weiss, both of Cross Plains, Texas; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
