Donnie James "Cowboy" Woodall, age 69, passed away Monday, April 19, 2021 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 22, 2021, at the Newcastle Cemetery in Newcastle, Texas with Rev. Jessie Edwards, pastor of First Baptist Church in Newcastle, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Donnie was born on August 29, 1951 in Sherman, Texas to Calvin and Lucille (McCollum) Woodall. He loved to work in the wood shop and could spend all day whittling objects. He also loved his Coke and hamburgers. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Calvin "Shorty" Woodall; and two sisters, Alice McCune and Sherry Morris.

Donnie is survived by two sisters and one brother-in-law; Judy and Gary Hobbs of Newcastle, Texas, and Melba Wright of Rosamond, California; as well as several nieces and nephews.
