Dorothy Fails Barker, age 84, died Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Grace Care Center in Olney, Texas. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at the Megargel Christian Fellowship in Megargel, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Dorothy was born October 20, 1932 in Iowa Park, Texas to the late Otta Fails and Pauline (Furl) Fails. She was a nurse's aide for over thirty years until her retirement. She was a life long resident of Megargel, Texas and a member of the First Baptist Church in Megargel. She married Leroy Barker on April 22, 1955 in Wellington, Texas. He preceded her in death on October 13, 1990. She was also preceded in death by six brothers and one sister.

She is survived by her daughter, Jackie Wilcox of Megargel, Texas; two grandchildren, David Wilcox of Ft. Worth, Texas and Joshua Wilcox and wife Belinda of Lakeside City, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Brian Struck, Joshua Wilcox, Jr. and Erika Guerra; two sisters, Sally Kellar of Terrell, Texas and Martha Gaulden and husband Cal of Archer City, Texas, as well as several nieces and nephews.
