Dorothy Tomlinson
(June 9, 1921 - August 12, 2015)

Dorothy Louise Tomlinson, 94, of Guymon, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday morning, August 12, 2015 at the Heritage Community Manor in Guymon, Oklahoma.

The daughter of Charles Ross and Nannie Mary (Stringer) Blancett, she was born June 9, 1921 in Olney, Texas. Dorothy attended school in Olney and received her nursing degree at TCU Harris School of Nursing. She served as a registered nurse at the Hamilton Hospital in Olney, retiring in 1995.

Dorothy was united in marriage to Ira Lee Tomlinson on February 12, 1944 in Ft. Worth, Texas. He preceded her in death on October 13, 1991. Following her retirement, she moved from Olney to Guymon.

Beside her husband, Ira Lee, she is preceded in death by one grandson, Brad Tomlinson.

Survivors include two sons, Tommy Tomlinson and wife, Dana of Guymon and Richard Tomlinson and wife, Randy of Phoenix, Arizona; nine grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

A private family inurnment will be held at Restland Cemetery in Olney, Texas, under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home.
