Douglas Macauthor Hamrick, Sr., age 73, died Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Hamilton Hospital. Private family memorial services will be at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Douglas was born March 24, 1943 in Douglas, Michigan to the late William Edgar Nathan Hamrick and Thelma Lee (Beard) Hamrick. He married Pauline Virgie Suitor on May 11, 1965 in Casa Grande, Arizona. He was a cotton ginner while living in Arizona. He was a longtime resident of Olney and worked at Tower Extrusions until his retirement. He also loved working on cars.

He is survived by his wife, Pauline Hamrick of Olney; two sons, Douglas M. Hamrick Jr. and wife Melinda of Roll, Arizona, Mack Hamrick Sr. and wife Dana of Parker, Arizona; three daughters, Debbie Goforth and husband Randall of Arlington, Texas, Misty Ponce of Olney, Texas, Reshell Garcia and husband David of Graham, Texas; three brothers, J.N. Hamrick and wife Bonnie of Phoenix, Arizona, Britton Adair Hamrick of Roll, Arizona, Scotty Hamrick and wife Linda of Roll, Arizona; one sister, Joy Gill and husband Jr. of Roll, Arizona; fourteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
