Wayne Ballard, age 79, died Thursday, November 3, 2011 at his residence in Olney, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 5, 2011 at the Olney Assembly with Stephen Winner officiating assisted by Kyle Collins of Ft. Worth, Texas. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery in Olney, Texas. Arrangements are under the ion of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Wayne was born January 15, 1932 in Espanola, New Mexico, to Brents Larimore and Irene Mae Hodges Ballard. He married Carol Jones on March 11, 1984 in Ft. Worth, Texas. They moved from Azle, Texas to Olney in 2004. Wayne was a retired truck driver. He attended the Assembly of God in Olney. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Carol Ballard of Olney, Texas son Darrell Wayne Williams and wife Mary of Batesville, Indiana daughter Sharon Dale Collins and husband Don of Aledo, Texas a brother Ronald Ballard and wife Wanda of Hurst, Texas and his sister Donna Kay Ballard of Olney, Texas nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
