Eddie Farmer, age 71, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023, in Ruidoso, New Mexico. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Southside Baptist Church in Olney. Visitation will follow in the Fellowship Hall.

Eddie was born on October 29, 1951, in Edinburg, Texas to the late Oliver P. Farmer, Jr. and Jean (Holderbaum) Farmer. He and Pam Herrington were married on February 8, 1974, in Nacogdoches, Texas. Eddie graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with his Bachelor of Animal Science in 1975. He worked for Texas-New Mexico Power Company from 1978 until 1995. While working in Clifton, Texas, he had the opportunity to transfer to the Olney field office in 1983. He then worked for Ft. Belknap Electric Co-Op from 1995 until his retirement in 2013.  Eddie enjoyed hunting and being outdoors and loved going to New Mexico every year for their family vacation. Eddie loved his family dearly and had a strong faith in God. He attended Southside Baptist Church in Olney.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Joyce Jones.

Eddie is survived by his wife, Pam Farmer of Olney, Texas; one son, Justin Farmer of Olney, Texas; one daughter, Misty Siler of San Angelo, Texas; two grandchildren: Riley Siler and Ashlee Siler both of San Angelo, Texas; one sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Jerry Sears of Valley Mills, Texas; sister-in-law and her husband, Lisa and Darrell Baca of Columbus, Texas; brother-in-law and his wife, Bentley and Michele Herrington of Pearland, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
