Eddie Gober, age 62, died Friday, August 1, 2014, in Abilene, Texas. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 4, 2014, at the Elbert Baptist Church in Elbert, Texas with Pete Parker, pastor of First Baptist Church of Throckmorton, officiating. Burial will be at Keeter Cemetery in Elbert. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Eddie was born on January 3, 1952 in Olney, Texas. He moved to Elbert, Texas in 1997 from Cisco, Texas. He worked as an oilfield equipment salesman. He is preceded in death by a grandson, Donaven Gober.

Survivors include his mother Emogene Nanson of Olney; his father Bob Gober and wife Twila of Olney; four daughters: Amanda Gober, and Shelby Gober both of Olney, Shanel Gober of Throckmorton, Texas, and Jacqueline Gober of Elbert, Texas; one brother, Larry Gober and wife Laura of Stephenville, Texas; one sister Brenda Reeves and husband Bobby of Olney; five grandchildren: Thomas Gober, James Gober, Ryan Gober, Samantha Gober, and Tristan Gober; his nephew and numerous nieces; Duretta Jaques and husband Dennis of Olney; Danette Gober of Throckmorton, Texas; and his dog, Duckie a faithful companion and friend to all their adventures.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 3, 2014 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
