Elva Aleman Salas, age 79, of Wichita Falls, Texas, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2019. Rosary will be at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 1, 2019 in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney, Texas. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2019 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Olney with Father Eugene Nyong, officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Cemetery under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Elva was born on September 17, 1939 in Falfurrias, Texas to the late Arcadio Aleman and Agustina (Gonzales) Aleman. She was a caregiver and a member of the Catholic Women's Group in Falfurrias, Texas. She liked to do needlepoint and crochet, and loved cooking and gardening. She married Florentino Salas in 1955 in Falfurrias, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons, Juan Jose Salas and Ruben Salas; one daughter, Ruby Salas Villeda; four brothers: Arcadio Aleman, Jr., W.G. "Ben" Aleman, Rene Aleman, Guadalupe Aleman; and two sisters, Anita Esquivel and Lidia Aleman Badillo.

Elva is survived by five sons: Raul Salas of New Orleans, Louisiana, Florentino Salas III of Archer City, Texas, Roel Salas of Columbus, Ohio, Juan Salas of Olney, Texas, Joe L. Salas of Bishop, Texas; two daughters: Rosielinda Salas Sanchez of Wichita Falls, Texas, Elva E. Mendoza of New Orleans, Louisiana; two brothers: Octaviano Aleman of Falfurrias, Texas, Luis Aleman of Olney, Texas; two sisters: Delia Calderon of Olney, Texas, Elvira Martinez of Olney, Texas; twenty-four grandchildren, forty-five great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
