Emmit Spain Reynolds, Jr., age 69, of Newcastle, Texas, passed away on
May 5, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 10, 2019 at First Baptist Church in Graham with Dr. Mark Bumpus, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the Newcastle Cemetery under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Emmit was born on November 2, 1949 in Olney, Texas to Spain and Billy Ray (Richeson) Reynolds. He was a lifelong resident of Newcastle. He married Debby Lee on October 20, 1971. He farmed and ranched all of his life, and loved the hard work and long hours. His joy was standing in a field of wheat or looking at a pasture with cattle grazing. Emmit was a member of First Baptist Church of Graham, the Southwest Cattle Raisers Association and the American Quarter Horse Association. Emmit was preceded in death by his father, Spain Reynolds.

Survivors include his wife Debby Reynolds of Newcastle; son, Brayden Reynolds and wife Angela of Dallas; daughter, Amber Paulson of Newcastle; two granddaughters, Mandie Paulson and Maddie Paulson; mother, Billy Ray Reynolds of Graham; and sister, Comell Dodson of Joaquin, Texas.

Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorials Processing, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
