Ernie Daniels, 67, of Olney, passed away Monday, January 17, 2022.

The family will receive friends between 6 and 7 p.m. Thursday, January 20, 2022 at Lunn Funeral Home in Olney.  Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 21, 2022 at Newcastle Cemetery in Newcastle with Pastor Chad Edgington of First Baptist Church, officiating.  Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home in Olney.

A son of the late Howard Wayne Daniels and Betty June (Ratcliff) Routon, Ernie was born on August 26, 1954 in Graham, Texas, and later moved to Olney in 1991.  He worked numerous years driving a truck, and owned and operated Ernie's Well Service.  Ernie worked hard all his life.  He was one of a kind, never met a stranger, and you always knew where you stood with him.  He enjoyed backyard cookouts with his family and friends, aggravating everyone around, watching his grandson play sports, and working in his garden with his friends, Jacob, Rita and family.

Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Daniels; and his brother, Harold "Hydro" Daniels.

He is survived by his daughter, Brigitte Cooper; his son, Wayne Daniels both of Wichita Falls; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Teena Jones and husband Jimmie of Olney, Debbie Wilson and husband Jerry of Duncan, Oklahoma, and LaShawna Marquardt and husband Doug of Wichita Falls; his grandchildren, Hadley Daniels of Hurley, Mississippi, and Ethan Daniels of Jacksboro; his four-legged faithful companion, Remmy; dear friends, Jacob and Rita Gallardo of Olney; several step-children and extended family; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends who will miss him dearly.
