Obituary
Eva Neff Koester, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Hamilton Hospital in Olney. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Olney, Texas, with Rev. Sean Reeves, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery in Olney. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 19, 2017 at Lunn Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.
Eva was born on October 20, 1947 in Wichita Falls, Texas to the late Coy Francis (C.F.) Neff, Jr. and Annah LaVerne (Byrd) Neff. She was a retired Administrative Assistant for Lone Star Gas and Germania Insurance and was a devoted homemaker. She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Olney, Texas, and was a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League and a past member of the Olney Lioness Club. Eva enjoyed working with young people through many organizations. She also enjoyed photography, cooking, researching genealogy, and art. She married Milton Koester on December 29, 1968 in Olney and was a longtime resident of Olney. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son-in-law, Josh McCracken and her mother-in-law, Marguerite Koester.
Eva is survived by her husband, Milton Koester of Olney, Texas; one daughter, Kyra McCracken of McKinney, Texas; one son, Ernie Koester and wife Karrie of Grapevine, Texas; three sisters: Gay Lowe of Graham, Texas, Ardell Souther of Graham, Texas, Alesia Robinson and husband Larry of Wichita Falls, Texas; two brothers: Coy Neff and wife Georgia of Graham, Texas, Jackie Neff and wife Tresda of Bryson, Texas; and two grandchildren: Kalli Koester and Emma Koester of Grapevine, Texas. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
