Faye Barr, age 85, died Monday, December 7, 2015, in Olney, Texas. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 10, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church in Olney with her son, Randy Barr, officiating, assisted by Rev. Harrell Braddock, Jr.

Faye was born on January 1, 1930 in Olney, Texas to the late William Dee Wilborn and Wilma H. (Mason) Wilborn. She moved to Olney in 1983 from Ocean Grove, New Jersey and had worked in retail sales. Faye was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Olney and had traveled to Africa and South America with her son, Randy, doing mission work. She was a member of the Amity Club, had hosted home bible studies and was involved with AA support groups. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Bill Barr.

Faye is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Sandra Barr of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico; two sisters: Gaye Davis and Juanema St. John both of Olney; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
