Fran A. Lloyd, age 81, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2022, at Grace Care Center in Olney. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 10, 2022, at Lunn Funeral Home in Olney. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2022, in the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home with Chad Edgington, pastor of First Baptist Church in Olney, officiating.  Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.

Fran was born on May 9, 1941, in Junction, Texas to the late Joe T. Abel and Loice Minnie (Butler) Abel. After graduating from high school, she pursued her lifelong passion of helping others by becoming a Registered Nurse. She took studying very seriously and was valedictorian of both her LVN class at Olney Hamilton Hospital and her RN class at Vernon Regional Junior College. She was a breast cancer survivor and was a supporter of cancer research. Fran loved Olney and her many friends and loved working at Lovett-Meredith Clinic. First and foremost, she was a Christian and follower of Jesus Christ. She was a great mother to her four boys and supported them in their many activities. Fran loved sports and while living in Albuquerque, New Mexico, she held several bowling titles. Fran was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters: Charlotte Hawkins and Carolyn Rippstein; and two brothers: Cloyd Bruton and Carl Abel.

Fran is survived by four sons: David and Angie Evans of Clinton, Missouri, Kevin and Michelle Evans of Tampa Bay, Florida, Scott and LynnDale Evans of Aubrey, Texas and Jon and Belinda Lloyd of Detroit, Texas; sixteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
